The Grade 10 students join the three-day career guidance that helps them know what track as well as strand they are going to take in Senior High school. The event spans three days from January 27-29 at EMEMHS, and it is consists of several activities that will help them enlighten their minds.
During the first day, students are tasked to create a self-portrait bag out of magazines and art materials with their hobbies, likes, and dream career in the future attached. This aims to help them discover their dreams and the path they are going to pursue.
The second day is all about the discussion at the conference hall of what Senior High School is. During that day, Mrs. Josephine Jardeliza, resident guidance counselor, and Mrs. Renzel Guilaran lecture them to what are the tracks and strands included in the curriculum and their corresponding characteristics.
The highlight of the event is the parade of the Grade 10 students at the school's ground wearing their chosen career outfit. All of the students wear it confidently on the stage, flaunting their outfits to ignite the will from within. The event includes a mini pageant and the winners are Ms. Ruela Jean Daaco from Grade 10-Emerald and Mr. Heart Cosas from Grade 10-Topaz. While having a pageant, the students list their names on the early registration forms on their chosen track with the teachers facilitating it. The day ended successfully as each student headed home with a smile.
