English is the universal language as it bridges nations amidst diversity. The English department celebrates its culminating day this January 31, 2020, with a theme: "Achieving multi-literacies through oral and written languages," with activities that showcase the talents of students, and remind people how beautiful and important English is. It is a whole day event that ignites the enthusiasm of the students.
The morning contests include smart-talking from both senior high school and junior high; read-a-thon which includes interpretative reading, vocabulary and comprehension, and retelling; character impersonation; songwriting and presentation; poem and essay writing; as well as verse choir.
The afternoon event is solely about cosplayers presenting their chosen characters from any fictitious novels, movies, and games.
Winners are announced after the cosplay parade. It is then followed with the proclamation of the queen cosplayer.
