Jose Rizal is one of our National Hero. Teachers taught us during our elementary education with his heroic deeds that turned the tide of the revolution. With that, on this 159th birth anniversary of his, we present five facts (and one rumor!) about our hero as a gift and commemoration of his selfless and patriotic deeds.
1. Rizal was once cured himself of tuberculosis and was deemed to be a tuberculosis expert.
2. Being talented is what makes Jose Rizal who he is. He is a writer for many people, but at a young age he is also a sculpture. The picture below is a stattuette of the Sacred Heart made up of batikulong wood. He was only 14 years old that time.
3. When he was studying in Spain, Rizal had no choice but to pawn the ring of his sister Saturnina for paying his exams.
4. Rizal is always against with the Spanish frairs, but he is also despises Chinese. According to a letter for his mother, he will never buy any product from a Chinese, because he once embroiled by one. He portrayed Quiroga, a Chinese businessman, in his novel El Filibusterismo, as a shrewd and cunning individual.
5. It was rumored that Jose Rizal has an illegitimate sons named Adolf Hitler and Mae Zodong.
This just signifies that Jose Rizal is a talented and also a normal person.
